The first lookout on Cedro Peak on the Sandia District of the Cibola
National Forest was a 25' log tower built in the 1920s. In 1935 it was
replaced with a 45' metal tower. In 1969 AT&T located a large transmission
tower on the site. The present 14'x14' metal CL-100 series cab was placed on
the roof of the electronics building adjacent to the transmission tower.
