This 46' steel tower with metal 7' x 7' cab is one of relatively few provided by Pacific Coast Steel. The first lookout on the Woody Mountain Lookout site was a tree stand from 1910 to 1921. It was replaced with a wood tower from 1922-1936 when the current tower was built. It is on the National Register of Historic Sites.
