Honey Hill Lookout was constructed in the 1930s. The LB-40 100’ Aermotor tower with 7’ x 7’ metal cab and hip roof was used by the U.S. Forest Service until 1989. The South Carolina Forestry Commission staffed it until
October 1993. Located within a Francis Marion National Forest Picnic area, it is maintained on standby status.
